DWQA QuestionsCategory: PrayerIs the saying, “The squeaky wheel gets the grease,” an analogy that can be applied to prayer in any way?

This is a useful way to think about the need to partner with Creator. If you want to be on your own, that is easy to arrange—simply fail to communicate with us or reach out with a request in any way with your thoughts and desires. We will leave you entirely alone other than a basic life support we provide everyone to keep them alive, and by that we simply mean "bodily energy to work with." Everything else is up to each individual to arrange and to govern as best they can. When people are having difficulty and want divine assistance, they can ask for it and it will be provided. Not all things can be done immediately. Some things take quite a lot of work and time to rework energies in parallel lifetimes, for example, that may be an important karmic influence underway in the current life. Many problems require a complex solution, but nothing can happen without a request to initiate divine action. We recommend people pray daily for basic services from the divine because it is your birthright to be in a partnership with us and in communication with us. We will always answer your prayer in some way. You may not hear our answer or see how it works out. That is a flaw in the system at the present time. It is not our intention to be disconnected from you. That was done to you by interlopers to diminish your intuitive reach which is the way we can communicate with you back and forth. We do hear your thoughts and know your desires because we are always present within you, but you do not hear us and that creates many difficulties, hence the need for faith. If you need assistance and want assistance, you can ask over and over and over and we do suggest people pray each and every day, and for the same basic things to which they can add any number of other requests. The idea is not to become dependent on us, but to broaden your reach and power to have things break your way, to have things go more smoothly, to be more likely to be successful, to work out, and to take relatively little energy and be uncomplicated in the doing because things are going well and you are effective in your interactions with others that may be needed, and so on. The more divine help you ask for, the better your life will be, because we know how to grease the gears, so to speak, and can do many things behind the scenes to make your life easier, better, more productive and successful, and bring much happiness your way. The more you pray, the more requests you launch, the greater your intention you are putting into the requests, the greater our response can be as a result. It is simply the energy of your request coming back to you. If it is a meager, weak, half-hearted request launched in great doubt, we cannot answer that with a major miracle in reply because that would not match your energy. Your energy needs to be more in proportion to what you seek than a single request, even a heartfelt one. Things worth having are worth thinking about and expressing a desire and a request for assistance to achieve them on a regular basis. What this does is maintains the partnership. It will keep it alive and it will be providing energy over and over and over that we can use as a springboard to bring things back to you that are requested in a form that will be of benefit. You cannot wear us out with requests, although it is the case people can launch improper prayers and in the bargain attempt to turn over responsibility for their life to the divine assuming they can summon up success for the asking, many blessings and benefits, and tangible rewards. There is no harm in having a desire for such things, or even asking divine assistance to gain them, but if this is all you ask for and then do little on your own to create the possibility of earning these rewards, you then are becoming dependent, much like a crutch, to have the divine realm do your living for you, in a sense, instead of you going to work regularly, earning a salary, managing your money wisely, and finding ways to maximize the benefits in how you spend your dollars and stay in divine alignment, wanting what is highest and best not only for yourself but others who may depend on you and others with whom you interact, so you are not taking advantage of others and living at their expense, but fitting in and having a normal healthy give and take to benefit the self but without harm to those around you. This is in alignment with the learning process we have described and is the intention for the human enterprise, that all eventually will learn to live well and prosper while being in divine alignment and will understand challenges and adversity and move quickly to deal with setbacks and will grow stronger and be effective no matter what comes their way.
