DWQA QuestionsCategory: Channeling PitfallsPeople really struggle to grasp and understand the mental differences and experiences amongst their fellow humans. Brian’s own father had a hard time accepting that Brian struggled with math, and was inclined to believe that Brian was lazy. His father assumed that because Brian was mechanically inclined, math should be just as easy for Brian as it was for his father. When people struggle to understand and relate to differences this basic and prosaic, how much more will they struggle in trying to understand a medium’s abilities and experiences when they have very little inner and experiential basis for comparison? What is Creator’s perspective?

This is quite a handicap for the average person who is unaware of how many times they gain inklings and hunches from their intuition but, at the same time, disbelieve in the paranormal, which is an exposition of intuitive ability and the workings of consciousness from many differing sources. It is perceived and displayed through unusual means that themselves are open to question and disbelief from those with a materialist perspective, particularly those who are not religious or spiritual who are used to going on faith because they have a deeper awareness, and hence belief, of unusual and profound phenomena beyond the self and visible matter and energy of a prosaic nature. Most people have blinders on, only accepting what they themselves have absorbed and come to terms with. Anything else, they will doubt personally and will reject others who lack their perspective. Those who have differing approaches to life, differing talents and perspectives, may well be judged as lesser when in fact the talents they possess are truly extraordinary in their own right, even as they seem foreign to the skeptical observer who simply does not value or perhaps even believe in them because it is not personally experienced. That is a common liability of human experience, based as it is on one's own thoughts and beliefs, first and foremost, as used to process input from the surroundings and build a model of who one is as a being and where one fits into the larger picture. People will only stretch their credulity just so far and many are quite down to earth and have no flexibility when it comes to things like the paranormal or belief in a higher power. Expecting everyone to think like oneself, therefore, is a major flaw in thinking, and it holds that person back at the same time it is limiting others around them, at least in so far as preventing a fruitful collaboration perhaps, a learning opportunity for sharing knowledge and wisdom. That will always benefit both parties and lead to further exchanges in most cases. This is how things truly can grow and expand for the benefit of everyone.
