DWQA QuestionsCategory: KarmaThe Alachua County Sheriff’s Office says a 41-year-old man, Craig Brewer, was shot and killed early Sunday at a Waffle House restaurant in Gainesville. Deputies say that Brewer was paying for some customers’ meals and ‘passing out’ $20 bills to other customers when the shooting happened. A female customer reportedly got into a verbal altercation with Brewer because he did not pay for her meal. 25 year-old Ezekiel Hicks was said to be at the restaurant with the female involved in the altercation. So, Hicks then also began arguing with Brewer. At one point, Hicks exited the Waffle House on his own and armed himself with a 9mm Glock pistol. Upon re-entering the Waffle House, the arrest report stated that Hicks approached Brewer. They became engaged in a physical altercation, which only lasted a few seconds, as Hicks soon fired multiple rounds into Brewer. Why was this man handing out money, and why was his antagonist wanting to kill him?

This was indeed karma in action from both ends. This was a good deed and was in response to a true charitable intention, but in the offering, the intention was being directed towards those present who were a match to this loving impulse. And the people in question, that were the source of the complaint and then the assault, were holding much lower energy and this was seen as incompatible with the mood of the moment on the part of this Good Samaritan and so they were ignored in the offering. This is what raised the ire of the woman in feeling spurned and her companion as well rising to her defense and wanting to direct his negative energy and hostility to attack him in some way. When met with resistance, this escalated within his mind to a test of manhood and he turned to his one true source of power, being his firearm, to make a display and, unfortunately, his anger got the best of him when this led to a further tussle, and then his manhood was truly on the line in a more intense way and he turned to his weapon in anger and the tragedy resulted. This was an exaggeration of interior turmoil that was present because of the karmic history and was a volcano ready to explode that needed only the right stimulus. It was the juxtaposition of oil and water, so to speak, that provided the disturbing experience to trigger a confrontation that quickly escalated, as so often happens with suppressed anger and resentments. This tragedy should never have happened, but that is true of all such events although they are commonplace—all are a consequence of the darkening of humanity from the external manipulation of interlopers. This is their legacy and, as usual, it is the humans who suffer directly from the consequences.
