Recounted from Sciencedirect.com, in 1959, an 18-year-old woman was blinded by juvenile macular degeneration over a three-month period, and was without vision for more than 12 years. In 1972, both she and her husband performed an impassioned prayer asking for her vision to be restored “that night.” Her husband prayed out loud, “Oh God! You can restore (her) eyesight tonight Lord. I know You can do it! And I pray You will do it tonight.” At the close of the prayer, his wife opened her eyes and saw her husband kneeling in front of her, which was her first clear visual perception in 13 years.
