A viewer asks: “The last 10 days or so I have experienced a humming noise around the house. I have looked everywhere to see if it is something mechanical or electric, but nothing. I have recently heard it in my car, as though it is focused on me rather than a place. The noise is like a looping sound that feels sinister in its nature, as though it is trying to hook me back into feeling subjected and controlled. On my trip this winter to a warmer climate, the day I arrived, there was a frog croaking in a creek right beside the condo rental as I unloaded the car. It was mesmerizing, and sounded more like a conversation than repetitive croaking I am used to hearing from bullfrogs. My wife heard it, too. We stayed there for a month, but never heard it again, only an occasional, repetitive, normal croaking typical of frogs. Was what we heard truly of an unusual origin?
