DWQA QuestionsCategory: PrayerA viewer asks: “I have a question regarding prayer when under almost constant harm, and regarding the inability to fully be in [touch with] my heart, given all the guidelines [cautioning] about ineffective prayer. Because it is extremely difficult to get in a desirable state under these conditions, and then, there are beliefs now that the prayer won’t be effective which compounds [the problem of] them being effective. What then?”

While we make those guidelines as clear as we can, because we expect and need humans to put out the effort in reaching out to us by declaring an intention energetically, and have some level of belief behind that intention, this keeps everything honest so that we don't have lax standards that allow people to go through the motions when they are really not sincere but doing it just in case as a selfish motivation. But that is not the case here, and when people are devastated by painful circumstances, emotionally or physically, we can take that into account because we can see the true desire. So we are not as cold and heartless as the rules of engagement might seem, when presented simply and starkly as categorical guidelines. There are always nuances and there is a certain amount of latitude we can use in emergency situations when people are so distracted by an ongoing crisis, for example, that they do not have the clarity of mind to even mount a coherent prayer at such times, necessarily. You can trust in us to see you as who you are, and that is what is all-important. If you will hold us in your heart with reverence and want our help, we will see that comes about. All we ask is that you do your best to work at standing strong and that is for your benefit, not simply to make you be obedient and follow our rules precisely, no matter what, because we demand it. When you reach out to us, we will be here for you, and will do our best to support you.
