DWQA QuestionsCategory: Non-Local ConsciousnessA viewer writes: “I just watched your recent channeling of Dick Sutphen… I read one of his books, HEART MAGIC, (1992) which is several metaphysical short stories – and couldn’t believe one of the stories is called “The Other Lindy”, and it seems very similar to a part of my life!! The story is about a woman, named Lindy, who goes to a tarot reader (which I’ve often done and am familiar with tarot cards). Anyway, Lindy is going to Madame LeFarr because she’s in love with a married man, named Daniel and wants to know if he’ll leave his wife, etc. At one point in my life, I, too was in love with a married man named Daniel…and wondered the same thing. Madame LeFarr tells Lindy that she and Daniel had a past life during the Civil War, and lived in Maryland – I thought that too, (before I’d read the book) that (current ) Daniel and I were together during the Civil War, in a border state, probably Maryland. In the story, Daniel goes off to the War and Lindy (or whatever her name was in that life) cheats on him (and I think I even know who I cheated on him with…someone who I had a relationship with in this life) It all has a sort of Gone with the Wind Vibe – me as Scarlett O Hara, Daniel as Ashley Wilkes, and RC (a former boyfriend) as Rhett Butler. Anyway, in this current life, I think the karma has worked itself out … Daniel and I were married in that Civil War life; I cheated on him and he could never understand that or forgive me. In this life, he’s married to someone else and cheated on her! (with me) and so now he’s more able to understand that previous life/my cheating on him. When I read the story in HEART MAGIC I kept thinking it was ME that Dick Sutphen was writing about … somehow he tapped into my life, past and present.” Is there any deeper reason for the seeming coincidences here?

As strange as it might seem, Dick Sutphen was a player in the drama she experienced in a prior lifetime with a love triangle. And when he was writing that book, he was tapping into past life material via his subconscious mind and his intuitive ability pulling up the plot and the characters. And at the same time, through a cording to you, perceived your name in the current life and used that as the name of the female protagonist in the book you read. So, the only coincidence here is the rare event when someone reads a work of fiction that is not widely available and then recognizes themselves in the plot line and has a deeper sense, intuitively, there is more to the story. Such things happen all the time with artists and writers of all kinds drawing on their broader awareness, intuitively, of relationships, prior life, and even future life circumstances, and working that into their art in whatever form of expression they pursue. This is what is meant by an artist or writer having a muse, a source of inspiration that comes from outside the self. In actuality, it is an intuitive link to things within the a akashic records primarily, as well as to thoughts and feelings of other individuals the person is corded to, energetically, because of a past history, and then, perceiving impressions that are a source of inspiration. In this way, past becomes prologue to future eventualities that will, in fact, be a mirror of what has gone before.
