DWQA QuestionsCategory: Human Lost Soul SpiritsJames continues: “I do not wish you to think, however, that we are immaterial beings floating around in a void. We are far from it, especially in our early stages of life in the spirit world. We have our spiritual bodies and we live in them, using them just as we used our physical bodies on Earth, but not having to be slaves to them.” James continues: “In order for you to not find this overpoweringly confusing that you are unable to cope, you are permitted by the system to live in your spiritual body in similar conditions to those you previously knew and felt comfortable with, in such close proximity to Earth that you can continue to feel at home in your new environment.” James continues: “We have always thought that if we lived at all after death, we would have to be entirely transformed immediately. We expected, if anything at all, a change of conditions so vast as to put us into an altogether different circumstance. When this does not occur, we are confused and find it difficult to accept. I must make it clear now that this transition is gradual for a very definite reason. Supreme Intelligence planned it that way as the most sensible and workable arrangement for man’s advancement.” What is Creator’s perspective?

The key thing about this description is the use of the term "advancement." That very word implies some kind of action or change on the part of the human spirit in having an influence on what happens beyond death. All of your existence as a physical human being is a built-in testing ground, a challenge to your faith and resolve, and an opportunity for growth and learning, particularly about adversity as you will be so removed from us it is much like starting over. You will have to gain an understanding of the existence of the divine from your peers and mentors, and be open to faith and belief to develop this within, and have a desire to exercise those spiritual muscles as well as a yearning to be close to us. So this discussion is putting a spotlight on the reality that the struggle to find a way to God not only continues following death of the body but, in a real sense, becomes more keenly important because you do not belong in limbo as a discarnate spirit. You should either be in the light with us or in the physical with others in your human family serving the cause of the divine to overcome adversity. That is your charter and the reason you were created. If on your passing from the physical you find yourself in a further state of disconnection from the physical but without a reconnection to the divine realm, you will be in a state of diminishment, at a minimum, and will be vulnerable to many difficult consequences. There is a likelihood of stagnation. You will be supported energetically through life force energy sent to you automatically via your higher self residing within the divine realm, but that is simply to keep you going. You will be in charge of what you do with that energy and it will require being shaped by your conscious intention to make things happen. In many ways, transitioning from the physical is a challenge and a test of inner wherewithal to be self-sufficient and in sufficient divine alignment to engage with us energetically, because again, the key is that you are in charge, not us, and you must take action to bridge the gap between your state of being when your body expires and what is needed to engage with the light callers to be guided to the heavenly realm successfully. In short, having an agenda to advance can make all the difference.
