DWQA QuestionsCategory: Human Lost Soul SpiritsJames continues: “The expectation of an abrupt alteration into some amorphous spiritual state entirely different from anything they have ever known frequently makes people unable to understand what has happened to them when death occurs. … For one who was sure that death was the end of all existence, it is an even greater surprise to find himself still living while at the same time he can see his own body on the bed beside him, or in a car at the scene of a fatal accident, or wherever he died. There are many occasions where such a person refused to believe what has happened and decided that he is merely having a bad dream. It is possible for such a one to be in this confusion for a long time until he is finally made to realize that he has actually passed from the physical life into the spiritual.” What is Creator’s perspective?

It is quite true and, in many ways, an amazing phenomenon that many human spirits in limbo, who have begun their transition upon death of their physical body, are unaware they are dead. Given that they are on their own but yet have a lifeline of life force energy, they can be in a quite static environment and, depending on the level of vibration, might experience floating in the darkness, cut off from everything, with little understanding of what is taking place or why. The ability to see what is around them will vary greatly from person to person during the transition process for many reasons, primarily the emotional state and the vibrational level of their makeup at the time of death. As you can imagine from this description, this is a prescription for a lonely existence, at a minimum, and an unrewarding one. There are many lost soul human spirits who focus on certain thoughts that might represent discomfort, or yearning for something that is missing, and exist with a perpetual repetition of those thoughts over and over without advancing in a meaningful way. That can represent a dead end until something happens to intervene and spark a new point of focus and some inner wherewithal to be called on and move on in a way that can lead to a wider purview. This is why spirits can be lost in limbo for hundreds of years without progressing—their state of limitation is too great a handicap for them to overcome. There are some spirits who can be better organized but are limited by having a more negative focus than is healthy. At the same time, a turning towards evil ends, perhaps to gain something through a selfish impulse, builds a kind of personal power but, at the same time, it will be of a lower order vibrationally and will take the person further out of divine alignment. This is the plight of many truly dark spirits who lost their way. The fallen angelics who were banished from the heavenly realm are now cut off from life force energy entirely and must exist as a kind of parasite drawing energy from other beings, spirit or physical, in order to survive. At least human lost soul spirits still enjoy life support, but this points to the need for making progress because to be so diminished and disconnected is a liability and carries with it long-term risk of greater decline and, at some point, there is little distinction between having nothing and being nothing.
