This is most unfortunate but is a casualty of the ongoing, high-level, and relentless manipulation of your world by the cohort of dark spirits commandeered by the Extraterrestrial Alliance as well as their own manipulations, through mind control largely, to influence what people do and do not do. They have worked relentlessly to darken things. Just look at your politics, look at the decline in religious observance and, of course, the cultural shift you are keenly aware of. Being involved with the music scene is a reflection of that degradation underway, it is being done actively to lower standards and add more negativity to the world. Keep in mind that music is divine and the interlopers will not turn to music as a source of pleasure, they use it as a kind of accent for their dark machinations, if anything. This is why you see a multidecade spread of what is in many ways nonmusical music, things like heavy metal, extreme heavy rap that is more a tirade than a musical performance. The unfortunate result is that it will punish those still in alignment and capable of engaging in things of a higher vibration.
You are wise to look for alternatives. That is the challenge, always, for performers who need a venue, you must find an audience to make a living. From our perspective, there is a point at which it is better to not participate at all, and find another way to earn a living than contribute to dark influences, even though they can be lucrative for those taking part. The world needs to turn direction. We see that things will get better in time, particularly once the interlopers leave. That will be soon now, and then it will be easier to influence things as a performer in ways that will build a following and create a new audience for things of quality. There is an inner thirst not being satisfied, so the possibility is there to reverse course and turn the ship around, so to speak, but it will take some doing.
