The problem is that if healing becomes too overtly visible to the interlopers it will trigger a backlash, a witch hunt to go on the march to find out who or what is responsible for countering the continual worsening of things they initiate to keep humanity subjugated and suffering. If that witch hunt gets out of hand, it could result in an immediate annihilation to be launched in retribution considering you are dealing with psychopaths here who are ruthless and loveless beings. Once there is a withdrawal of the aliens from your world for a time, this will be a golden opportunity to use all of that healing power being held in reserve to make the most of that window of opportunity.
