DWQA QuestionsCategory: Limiting BeliefsComplacency seems like a genuine hazard that can feed on itself and accelerate a greater fall into depravity. Is this in fact “the” or “one of the” mechanisms causing the “fall” of the interlopers and resulting in their twisted nature?

In a general sense, one can see many lost opportunities in any individual life when there has been a failure to act at a critical juncture that ends up worsening things for an individual—a lost opportunity when they might have clung to a lifeline to stay in divine alignment but surrendered the chance through making a poor decision, lacking the awareness, or simply being unwilling to make the effort because belief was lacking and various other circumstances that can contribute to a downward spiral. So there are many examples for all involved in the interloper community during the course of their fall from grace, where their complacency to put up with a worsening of things contributed to the downfall and made the return to divine alignment all the harder. This is a good illustration of why complacency is inherently a negative characteristic because, by definition, it speaks to inaction when action is needed for one reason or another. Any inappropriate choice will have consequences and often will contribute to a worsening of things, so it will be an ongoing liability in the course of a life being lived with a downward trajectory, or a life lived with an upward trajectory but progressing slowly, where the complacency prevents inner incentives to work harder at self-improvement and to find ways to improve one’s strategy, level of commitment, and seizing opportunities consistently as they arise, to break new ground and make an advance. Complacency will always be an enemy of progress.
