DWQA QuestionsCategory: KarmaKarl recently channeled Brittany Murphy, an extremely successful actress and singer who died mysteriously at the age of 32. She mentioned in the channeling that her death was in karmic alignment with early deaths in previous lives—lives where she also rose to prominence in attempts to help humanity. We’ve heard that everyone has a duty to safeguard their own soul and that it is a karmic misstep to not do so. And so without wanting to blame the victim, we humbly ask, what exactly was her misstep, and what does she need to cultivate within herself in order to avoid compounding the problem in future lives? If we assume the karma is not removed via healing efforts by third parties, how can she bridge the gap between this kind of vulnerability to becoming invulnerable, which is the goal we are all striving for? More wisdom? What can Creator tell us?

What we can tell you about the prior lifetimes of Brittany Murphy, setting her up for an early demise due to the karmic consequences catching up with her, in a sense, in the most recent life she lived, was all due to failure to surmount the life difficulties and challenges of individuals who held her back and attacked her in various ways. So hers, in a sense, was a victimization that became a karmic challenge to overcome as a potential to shorten her life. Someone who is harmed so grievously it shortens their life, perhaps through being subject to neglect, or put at risk to do the most dangerous work, or in being enslaved and worked to death, is seemingly blameless, but karmically, anything that harms your soul is your responsibility and, because this is true, there will be a karmic debt from your failure to stand strong no matter what. When you are taken out, even by interlopers manipulating humanity to cause things like war, pestilence, famine, and interpersonal strife, all of which serves to shorten lifespan, the fact it happened on your watch, and in fact were asleep or had become disempowered and unable to defend yourself, this is indeed creating an imbalance of energies that is your responsibility. The perpetrators have a responsibility to undo all the negativity they gave rise to, but this is always a kind of karmic dance between perpetrator and victim and the victim comes away diminished, through their vulnerability, in not being able to stand strong in the first place. That seems to be a harsh standard, but that is what the system is for, to keep the bar high, to keep people striving for growth and learning to become ever stronger, more capable, more effective, and more successful in having the energy and wherewithal to do the right things and not the wrong ones—that success is leading towards the state of invulnerability to harm. It is a lofty goal but a goal worth working towards, and that is the lesson of her example.
