There is a New Age belief: “You don’t have to protect yourself psychically or energetically, even when opening to connect to the unseen realm. To do so is asserting there is danger and thereby calling it to you. Just affirm that you are in the light. Your own energy will protect you. Being in the light will protect you.” What is Creator’s perspective?

All of these notions are wrong and are deliberately harmful; not deliberately because the New Agers embrace them, but the original sources who manipulated those would-be spiritual individuals to want to believe the world is benign and a loving place and will treat you gently if you don’t cause a problem. There are many givers of advice promoting the idea you can protect yourself easily with a simple visualization of surrounding oneself with light or setting the proper intention and holding the right vibration, and so on. All of these are faulty notions, none of which will stop an evildoer from harming you. In fact, your only protection is possible through the divine realm and must be summoned directly and by name, through calling on Creator, God, Allah, and so on.
