A viewer asks: “My son noticed last week that his gas knob on the stove in his apartment was on during the day. He hadn’t used the stove for awhile. Like at least a week. He said he smelled gas. He called the fire department. I don’t know if they detected gas. They opened a window and thought it was fine and they were only there a few minutes. My son has been paranoid about it because he says he never touched the stove. He feels like a ghost did it. Just wondering what Creator says if it’s possible to ask.” What can we tell her?

This indeed was an act by a malevolent spirit causing mischief. That spirit has moved on, so this need not be cause to fear a future reoccurrence. There are many accidents and potential destructive influences carried out by dark spirits in the environment, who in some cases can manipulate physical objects to make things happen and trigger mishaps. So this was not his oversight or negligence.
